We made it to Marloth Park…Heavenly, as expected… Short post…One photo…

Only one image is shown on this post.

It’s after 7:15 pm on Wednesday, and we are out of steam. I’d hope to do a post tonight, but I don’t have the energy necessary to put it together tonight. We’ve already taken several amazing photos, and tomorrow morning, coffee in hand, we’ll look forward to sharing details about our new home and new life at Lovebird’s Nest in Marloth Park and some memorable wildlife photos from our garden. It’s heavenly.

Please check back tomorrow while we get back into our usual rhythm of posting daily,

Thanks for your patience, kind words, and encouragement. We are so grateful!

Be well.

Wow we are so impressed with your determination to get back to Marloth Park. I would have gone crazy being stuck in that hotel in India. We got stuck on a cruise ship off the coast of Africa at the end of March 2020. When we were evacuated I couldn’t wait to touch ground in Canada again. Kudos to your bravery and enjoy your time in South Africa. You continue to be our inspiration. Can’t wait for our journey to continue too.

Elaine, we closely followed the stories of passengers stuck on cruise ships early on in the pandemic. That must have been an awful experience. We’re happy you came out on the other side. Thank you for your kind comments. We appreciate you so much.

      Warmest regards,
      Jess & Tom

So glad you made it – we have been waiting with bated breath for each new posting. We are sure you can hardly believe you have achieved the almost impossible and, despite the travels to get there, we just hope you have had a good meal and a drink and, above all, a very good night’s sleep! Love, Peter and Caro

Caro & Peter, the good meal is upcoming in a few hours, steak on the grill! As for the drink, alcohol is banned in South Africa now due to Covid. Go figure. Guess we wait another month when the ban is supposed to end.

      Love,
      Jess & Tom

Thank you, dear Phyllis. It’s hot, humid, with lots of insects and we couldn’t be happier! The freedom and the visitors are blissful.
